Become What You Believe – Wonder Woman review
A few weeks ago, I went to see Wonder Woman in theaters. It is a great movie, and if you have not seen yet, spoiler alert. The superhero sees suffering and is motivated by empathy to defend the world. In the film, she states, “It’s not about deserving, it’s about what you believe. And I believe in love. Only love will truly save the world.” The statement brought tears to my eyes as we are facing challenging times where people are in constant battles against each other. The fight has been going on for a long time. If we want to come into a world of peace in the future, we have to lay down the past and be responsible heroes. Often, that requires love and peace instead of hate. We have a choice to embrace the good. However, evil has a sneaky way of being seen as the right way. Wonder Woman is a high-value woman who’s a fighter but shows her vulnerability with her emotions about the humanity of the world. She hates to see people suffer and wants to help others who are striving to do better.
The world may feel like a dark place. Between the enemy attacks in Great Britain and the deep divide in the United States, it’s becoming more problematic for people to see the good in each other. The film shows the audience that we need to stand up for what we believe in and have love and compassion for one another. Believing in yourself is all about going above and beyond with every attempt to make the world a better place to be.
After five weeks in theaters, Wonder Woman has been doing ridiculously well in numbers. As I am writing today, Box Office Mojo stated that it is close to reaching “$750 million worldwide.”
