Here is the next part of our solution to overcoming lockdown loneliness. The government suggested staying home to flatten the curve of the coronavirus; did you find yourself blaming the government? Blaming individuals who don’t wear a mask. It’s just an easy way out to place blame on others, that won’t resolve the issue that you and I are currently facing.
Let’s take a lookout a way to resolve the cure of blaming others. It’s short and to the point.
Don’t Blame Others. Placing blame is the most straightforward card to play. Sitting as the target and pointing fingers at each other won’t solve your problems. Some take it further beyond blame to wreak vengeance. Revenge never satisfies for long. Think about how the other party is apparently suffering from their own emotional emptiness. When someone flies off the handle at you, it is a sign of their own insecurity. They are only diverting their unhappiness to you to avoid their own pain. Like you, they are starving and craving human connection. Be alert and empathize with their emotional emptiness. Kindness and compassion did not happen for me overnight, but eventually, I began to see hurtful people with mercy. If you ever encounter people who deal in vengeance or play the blame game, ask yourself these questions:
- What’s their story?
- Are they suffering?
- How deep are they in the hole?
People are flawed, and we are human. Become aware of your emotions, and don’t play the blame game.
Anyone can experience the challenges of mental illness, regardless of their background.
